How to Use the Anyware Content Manager

This is a tutorial for anyone who uses the Anyware Content Manager to update their website.

Each page has a short video and some additional text that describes how to use one feature of the Content Manager.
If you are not familiar with Content Management Systems, we recommend you watch the videos in order.

Using this Help Tutorial

We have put everything into three simple dropdown menus :

  • Styling
  • Additional Features
  • Saving, Previewing and Publishing Pages

Styling has all the information you need to get your page looking presentable. The pages in this menu help you add, edit and format text, as well as add links.

Additional features shows you how to add pictures and other images to your pages. It also has information for customers who have chosen additional features for their websites, such as galleries and the ability to download files. We briefly discuss the use of videos on websites here too.

Saving, Previewing and Publishing is the final step to make pages live. We'll walk you through the process here.

An Important Note About Browsers

  • We recommend you use Mozilla Firefox.
  • Google Chrome is reliable, though we have experienced some problems with images while editing in this browser.
  • Other browsers, including Internet Explorer may give unpredicatable results. We do not support the use of the Content Manager in Internet Explorer.
  • For best results please make sure you have the latest version of your chosen browser.

Logging In

Follow the instructions in the video to log in.

After you have logged in, click on Website in the grey bar on the left-hand side of the page and you will see all the pages in your website listed in a table. There is quite a bit of information in this table but the main things you will want to do are edit and publish pages. These are buttons in the first columns. Take a look at an example of what you'll see here.

If you are curious about what everything else means, we have labelled each of the columns and provided an explanation under the table on the page.

A Simple to Use Content Management System

Anyware is always trying to find the simplest and most effective Internet solutions and that is what we have done with this Content Manager.

If you have used other Content Management Systems, you will know they can be complicated. Most are designed for website developers as well as people like you who want to edit text and add pictures. So we've removed all the complicated tools that you will never need to use and left a simple toolbar with buttons for just the things you need to do.

Ready to start?  If you haven't done so already, watch the the introductory video on this page.  When you've finished you can get started formatting text
